We're Alexis and Josh, parents to a 5- and 4-year-old and brand-new to NoCo since September 2025. Like a lot of families here, we kept hitting the same wall: we'd find out about the perfect Saturday event the Sunday after it happened. A festival, a free concert, something the kids would have loved: always a day or a week too late, usually on Instagram, often the same week we'd actually sat down and gone looking.
So we got proactive. Every week we go hunting for the good stuff: family-friendly events our kids would actually love, the eats and hidden gems worth the drive, and the local businesses we're betting we'll come to love too. We put the best of it in one postcard-sized email every Tuesday morning. And since we're still new here, we're counting on you too: know about a great event or a can't-miss spot we'd never find on our own? Send it our way. The best stuff usually comes from the people who already love it here.
We're not pretending to know every corner of this place yet. We're learning it right alongside you, and honestly that's part of the fun: a standing reason to meet our neighbors, try the new thing, and make sure no family hears about the good stuff a day too late again.
It's free, it's written by two parents who got tired of missing out, and the only thing it sells is the idea that a week around here can be really, really good. Hand-picked, hand-cancelled, and in your mailbox before the coffee's done.
So here's to the splash pads and story times, the festivals and food trucks, and the Saturday mornings that end in the good kind of tired. Oh, the places we'll go. We just have to hear about them in time, and now you will too.
